CITY SLEEPS Signs With TRUSTKILL RECORDS
June 28, 2007Atlanta's own CITY SLEEPS has inked a deal with Trustkill Records. The group's debut album, "Not An Angel", was produced by John Feldmann (ATREYU, THE USED) and is scheduled for release on August 28. A video for the song "Prototype" was directed by Nathan Cox and Zach Merck, who have previously worked with such artists as H.I.M., QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and MARILYN MANSON.
Formed a little over two years ago, CITY SLEEPS toured nationally and built a buzz from the underground up, in the process turning the ears of some heavy industry types who began courting the band early on. A stunning example of this is when CITY SLEEPS was contacted by John Feldmann, the multi-platinum producer who had discovered such bands as THE USED and STORY OF THE YEAR, asking to work with them. Even before securing a label, this pro-active band flew to L.A. to work on what was to become their definitive sonic statement.
